First there was the mess that revolved around the air date of the show and now the award show announced last week that they are moving 8 awards to a pre-tape format to keep viewers interested. In other words they want to appeal the masses who care about the winner of Best Comedy Series verses Best Writing. When it comes to these shows, ratings is what drives the format. And ratings have been dismal for all of these shows. I think the Academy Awards did good by getting an actor who is current to host over an comedian. I think MTV would have been better off getting someone like Puffy to host rather than Russell Brand. Like the Emmys hosted by Hugh Laurie? Yes?
